PowerApps and Kalkitech
In the year 2007, experts from PowerApps started the various services listed in
the web-site www.powerapps.org, with consistent support from several organizations
that utilized the services of PowerApps. Most of these services were in the consulting
domain. There were not many opportunities related to software services, IT services,
Automation and control applications.
Kalkitech (www.kalkitech.com) is an established company in the area of
communications, automation and control and IT services in the area of energy, power
generation, Transmission and Distribution, Oil and Gas, Process Industries. Kalkitech
had received various requirements from their clients where expertise similar to
those available with PowerApps was needed.
It was therefore decided that the association of PowerApps with Kalkitech was mutually
beneficial. Starting from August 2008, PowerApps merged itself with Kalkitech with
the following objectives

To develop and offer standard and custom solutions in IT applications to the
power industry using new technological methods and industry standards.

To initiate Research & Development to practical existing and new problems
faced by energy / power sector

To provide consulting services to the power and energy sector

To provide training and develop skills useful to the industry in the area of
power system analysis and related software services

To provide flexible software tools with standard functions to other consultants
, researchers, teaching communities

To develop specialized modules for real time control and monitoring of very small
to large grid networks.

To provide industry standard solutions from other vendors along with all
necessary technical and organization support
The consortium of PowerApps and Kalkitech has many readily available solutions in
the above specified areas for existing and emerging problems in the industry. Newer
developments are also planned to meet industry requirements and the same will be
announced as and when they are initiated.
